Mrs. Maxine (Miriam) Myers, a beloved mother and grandmother from Maplewood, New Jersey, passed away on Shabbos, 1 Iyar 5780.
She was 84 years old.
Mrs. Myers was known for her love of family, kindness and sensitivity to others. A former board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest, New Jersey, she was involved in numerous charitable and Jewish communal organizations.
She kindly contributed to Jewish education, and to those with special needs, including the Friendship Circle of Chabad of Livingston, NJ.
She is survived by her children Rabbi Boruch Myers – Director Chabad of Slovakia; Asher Meir Myers – Efrat, Israel; Mark Myers – Roslindale, MA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Margie Miller of Scarsdale, New York.
The levaya will take place in Eretz Yisrael.

I spent a year in Slovakia on shlichus with the Meyers and have such good memories!! Rabbi Meyers would learn with us and really give us the time to talk If anything was bothering us.
I’m sure a great mother raised him.

She was a dear and beloved friend of my late mother,
And I got to know her as well. Always a smile & a laugh on her lips, very upbeat and cheerful. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren! May her memory be for a blessing.
