The International Rambam Celebration, highlighting the daily practice of learning of Mishne Torah, will take place on Thursday, 8 Shvat 5774 (January 9, 2014) at 8:00 PM.
To be held at the Grand Ballroom of Oholei Torah at 667 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, the annual event is dedicated ot the Mashpia R’ Avrohom Drizin (Mayorer) OBM.
It will mark the 30th conclusion of the learning cycle instituted by the Rebbe to unite the entire Jewish nation around learning Torah.
Adherents of the rigorous 3 chapters per day will be concluding their year next month. Those learning a chapter a day conclude the Mishne Torah every 3 years. Beginners and children learn a day law in the Rambam’s Sefer Hamitzvos.
Rabbis, Roshei Yeshiva and Mashpiim from communities from across the New York area will be addressing the gathering of men, with a special seating section for women.
There will be a program for children as well.
Singer Benny Friedman will be accompanying the event with chassidishe niggunim.
