From marketing firms to tech startups, artificial intelligence is changing how work gets done: faster workflow, smaller teams, and greater output. A new workshop from Merkos 302, led by marketing expert Alte Raskin, aims to help Shluchos adopt the same tools for a higher purpose: their shlichus.
On Wednesday, 5 Menachem Av (July 30th) at 11:00 AM, Merkos 302 is hosting a live virtual workshop titled “Is It AI or Is It You?”, led by professional copywriter Alte Raskin.
“The Rebbe emphasized the importance of using technology to share Yiddishkeit and bring the world closer to Geulah,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “AI is no exception. With the right guidance, it can be a powerful tool to fulfill our mission.”
This hands-on workshop is designed specifically for Shluchos who are looking to sharpen their communication, marketing, and engagement while maintaining their unique, personal tone. Alte Raskin, founder of Aha Copy, will introduce various AI platforms, show practical real-world applications, and demonstrate how to harness these tools to draft powerful messages and content in a fraction of the time.
“AI is a double-edged sword,” said Mrs Raskin. “Used right, it can cut a Shlucha’s work time down, save money, bring polished results, and double or triple the output. Used wrong, it can sound tacky, unprofessional, or robotic. To work smarter, not harder, without spending another penny, the next powerful step a shlucha can take is to leverage the power of AI.”
Participants will walk away with:
Understand when, and why, to use AI
An introduction to different AI platforms and when you use them
Prompt templates that are proven to get consistent results
Techniques to ensure the writing reflects a Shlucha’s unique tone
Tools that turn AI into a personal copy assistant
Confidence to use AI as a partner in creating professional yet warm communication.
Whether preparing for a program, planning a fundraising campaign, or simply keeping in touch with community members, this session aims to equip Shluchos with practical skills to amplify their Shlichus.
The workshop is being subsidized for Shluchos.

I wonder if the Rabbanan, at some future time, if not now, will approve of using AI as a “Rabbi” or “Mashpia.” If this is what it can do now, in 5-10 years from now? Consider this: I asked ChatGPT the following Shayla: According to Halacha, am I permitted to mail a package, specifying that it should arrive at its destination by Shabbos? ChatGPT said: Mailing a package with the intention that it should arrive by Shabbos raises important Halachic concerns, but under certain conditions it can be permitted. Here’s a breakdown according to Halacha: 📦 Basic Halachic Issues Involved… Read more »
anything i ask or say to them. or to try to solicit money from me in a manipulative way by using ai to figure out how and when to ask. or to answer rabbinic questions with. don’t put anything jews ask you into ai. USE YOUR BRAIN
Even without the subsidy? I often lan programs for the shlucha in our city, and would appreciate a course like this.
The rebbe would not be ok with all the Shluchim and shluchos buying into all this technology, dancing to TikTok trends and constantly being and posting to social media. ( we’re a scrolling generation , they may see your nice post for half a second but then they are back to the garbage. And vice versa )
