Members of the Executive Board of Machne Israel, the social service arm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, recently held an all day meeting near the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens, NY.
Machne Israel, the Chabad-Lubavitch social-service agency, was established in 1941. Its resources and energies are devoted to caring for the social and religious welfare of Jews around the world.
Attending the meeting were its Chairman Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, who served as Mazkir of the Rebbe and Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and Secretary of Agudas Chassidei Chabad International. His son Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky serves as Executive Director of the Machne Israel Development Fund.
Also in attendance were Rabbi Moshe Klein, Owner of HaSofer in Crown Heights; Rabbi Yosi Friedman, Director of Kehot Publication Society; Rabbi Sholom Levitin, Head Shliach of the State of Washington; Rabbi Berl Futerfas of Crown Heights, Rabbi Yitzchok Wolf, Dean at Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School in Chicago, Rabbi Baruch Wilhelm of Crown Heights, Rabbi Berl Goldman, Director of Chabad at University of Florida in Gainesville; and Rabbi Levi Gansburg of Chabad of York in Toronto.
Unable to attend the meeting were Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov, Chairman of Agudas Chasidei Chabad International who is already in Camp Gan Israel – New York for the Global Yarchei Kallah this week, Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Executive Director of Colel Chabad, and Rabbi Yossi New, Head Shliach of the State of Georgia.
