When Mendel Krashunsky was 18 years old, his father passed away at just 38 from a preventable disease. That painful experience opened his eyes to how critical it is for every frum Yid to prioritize his health—not as an afterthought, but as a responsibility for himself, his family, and his community.
From this realization, Mendel launched the Frum Health Club, a free group created for frum men who want to live healthier, stronger lives in order to serve Hashem with energy and joy.
The Frum Health Club is already bringing together frum men from all different backgrounds with one shared goal: to make health a priority. Inside the group, members:
Inspire one another through daily motivation.
Keep each other accountable for exercise, diet, and healthy habits.
Share resources, articles, and interesting facts about health.
Post workouts, nutrition tips, and progress updates.
It’s a space where no one is judged and every step forward—whether it’s a walk, a run, or a small change in diet—is celebrated.
The results have been incredible. Men who never exercised before are now running or cycling. Busy fathers are carving out time for daily activity. Members have reported weight loss, improved energy, and even medical improvements from making small but consistent changes.
As the Maggid of Mezritch famously said, “A small hole in the body is a large hole in the soul.” The Frum Health Club reminds us that caring for our guf is directly tied to the well-being of our neshamah.
To further spread inspiration, the group recently launched the Frum Health Club Podcast—a weekly show featuring stories, expert advice, and practical tips to help listeners take charge of their health. Each episode brings fresh motivation and knowledge, available for free to all.
Good health gives us the energy to be present for our families, to live fully, and to serve Hashem with strength and simcha. The Frum Health Club is helping to build a new culture where health is not neglected, but embraced as a foundation for a fuller life.

Thanks for doing this, the Rebbe mentioned so many times what the Rambam says ” having a healthy and whole body is integral to Divine service (lit., “is of the way of [G-d’s] Name”)
So important- literally has a positive effect on every aspect of your life!
It’s happening among Chadnikim in Israel too.
