At a beautiful Parent Melave Malka on Motzei Shabbos in Razag Ballroom, Lubavitcher Yeshiva proudly unveiled a 3D rendering of their magnificent and modern building expansion plans.
The walls of the yeshiva will be expanded to add an incredible 19,848 square feet of space, it was announced. The landscape of Crown Heights will change with a 5 story addition in front of the current landmark building, bringing it up to the Crown Street property line.
This new addition will add 6 classrooms to accommodate another 100 Talmidim. It will include 3 resource rooms, 2 mental health offices, and a beautiful new shul for the older grades to daven together.
It will also include a music room, a recreation room, and a staff lounge. To top it all off, the expanded roof will include a state-of-the-art indoor gym with a full sized basketball court.
This expansion is monumental and will benefit every single Talmid. Beautiful new classrooms, ample place to play, and proper areas for extra- curricular activities will ensure that every student’s mind and body is developing and thriving.
The Gala Melave Malka was filled to capacity with parents who came to experience “The Past, Present and Future” of Tomchei Temimim. Celebrating 82 since the Frierdiker Rebbi came to America and established Tomchei Temimim here, parents were treated to a beautiful presentation showing the history of Tomchei Temimim. The program continued with a glimpse of “The Present,” where parents were shown the day-to-day chinuch in ULY. “The Future,” was the groundbreaking presentation of the building expansion.
Keynote speaker Rabbi YY Jacobson shared inspiring words on the importance of the Chinuch and the impact on our future, and thanked the Melamdim, Morahs and staff of the entire school for their dedication to the Chinuch of the children.
Rabbi Yosef Simpson, Menahel, presented a special gift and recognition to R’ Yossi Langsam, the School’s Administrator, for creating “unprecedented growth and energy in the Yeshiva,” and thanking him for his exceptional dedication to the Yeshiva in many areas, including a recent raise in salaries for staff and for spearheading many upgrades in the school building and programs, as well as for heading up the major upcoming expansion project.
Parents enjoyed a beautiful Melave Malka, and left proud to be a partner of Tomchei Temimim.
