“A Chossid must always go the extra mile” were the opening words of the evening, explaining to the Chayolim why we have chosen to farbreng in the evening, after school hours, even though we already had a farbrengen during school time.
The lights dimmed and the Chayolim got to see a very well-put-together video of Yud Tes Kislev, narrated by the renowned Rabbi Yossi Mendelson and edited by Tzivos Hashem, special thanks to Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum. Let us not forget the brilliant moshul of why Chassidus must be learnt today more then ever before; presented by the Rebbe.
The vibe was tremendous, the video was followed by inspirational stories and enthusiastic niggunim. With hands around their fellows’ shoulders, the Chayolim lifted the atmosphere by singing from the depth of their hearts.
The point, however, of this farbrengen, wasn’t merely to hear about Yud Tes Kislev; as that was done all day, rather to live with it! Each unit of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem put on a skit, depicting a story which occurred between the Alter Rebbe and his Chassidim. The Chayolim did the research, found the most exciting stories, practiced and actually did the acting themselves, it was definitely a sight to see.
Before walking away from the farbrengen, each student took upon himself a new hachlota, he will start doing as of this Yud Tes Kislev. These hachlotos are being collected and will be given to the Rebbe tomorrow; what more does a Chossid want to do than to give nachas to the Rebbe.
The Chayolim showed their utmost respect, throughout the farbrengen and really gave it all they’ve got for this special occasion.
Tens of hours of work were put into this extra-ordinary farbrengen by madrichim and students alike.
