The Chabad Twitter account of Lubavitch.com – @Lubavitch has been nominated for a Shorty Award.
Called the ”The Academy Awards of Twitter,” the Shorty Awards
recognize people who use twitter to disseminate “short, real-time content.”
Lubavitch’s innovative use of Twitter is now in the running as a nonprofit organization.
Receiving this award, presented at an official ceremony in New York City, and the positive media attention that accompany it, would serve as a very great Kiddush Shem Lubavitch – honoring the amazing accomplishments of the Rebbe’s Shluchim.
In order to proceed to the finals, your vote is needed. With less than 200 votes from the number one slot, we can easily win.
Voting is simple – either by following this link – or copying and pasting the following text and “tweet” it via the main twitter website.
I nominate @lubavitch for #nonprofit in the Shorty awards because of their innovative use of Twitter for teaching.
(Adding a reason “because of” is a must).
Chaim the correct url for this particular account is in fact http://twitter.com/lubavitch : Read the article and you’ll see. Following is a good idea though.
Follow them on twitter! http://twitter.com/Chabad
if you look at the site, the contest is only open to people with accounts opened prior to the contest
can i still do vote?
It’s important to remember votes WITHOUT a reason after “because …” DO NOT count.
Happy voting!
