Prison in the US
June 6, 2020 10:01 pm

The US has 5% of the world population, but 25% of the worlds prisoners.

Something is deeply rotten with the “tough on crime ” Justice system in the U.S.
It is all about vengeance and punishment and very little about rehabilitation.

The opposite of the Rebbe’s approach.

Police kill about 50 times as many people per capita than in the UK?

Why is that?

Something is rotten about the US justice system.

Something is rotten about about police brutality.

Time for reform.

5% of population and 25% of prisoners?

It is also safer in the us than, say, in Mexico, Venezuela, south Africa and many more other countries. And that is also, given the level of freedom people have.
And yes, police is way too brutal, it has nothing to do with the # or the % of prisoners
