The Rebbe often says that the true sign of Hafotzas Haamayonos – the spreading of the wellsprings of Chassidus – is when the nurturing waters of the Maayon are generated from the “outside”.
Mishnas Menachem, produced in far-off South Africa is such a work.
This two-volume sefer collects, summarizes and organizes the Rebbe’s teachings about some two hundred personalities of the period of the Talmud, bringing all of the Rebbe’s talks and writings on the Tannoim and Amoroim under one roof. While there have long been works summarizing and organizing the Rebbe’s Torah on Rashi, Rambam, Pirkei Avos and other areas, this is the first to encompass the vast treasure of the Tannoim and Amoroim. It also has a summary of the Rebbe’s father’s Kabbalah on hundreds of people and places of that period in time.
Mishnas Menachem has been endorsed by some of the leading Rabbonim of our generation.
To celebrate its arrival in South Africa (from Eretz Yisroel where it was printed) a special Zoom launch is being held on Wednesday, 19 Adar / March 3, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. South African and Israeli time, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. English time, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EST. The content of the event is relevant wherever in the world one may be.
Participating will be Rabbi Pesach Fishman, author of Mishnas Menachem, Rabbi Berel Lazar – Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Dovid Dubov – the author of Yalkut Levi Yitzchok explaining the Kabbalah of the Rebbe’s father and Rabbi Chaim Finklestein – Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva LeRabbanus of Pretoria, South Africa. Each will speak on a different aspect of the Rebbe’s Torah regarding the Tannoim and Amoroim.
