With Purim this year on a Friday, time is limited, but the simcha must be increased! In 5741, the Rebbe came into shul unexpectedly on Friday afternoon and said a ma’amar, then said l’chaim and encouraged the small crowd to say l’chaim without limitations! In a letter sent before Purim, the Rebbe also encouraged the celebrations to continue until Sunday! So let’s say l’chaim, celebrate, and use every moment of Purim for simcha!
The Crown Heights community and all guests are invited to a joyous Purim seudah and festive entertainment at the Beis Avraham Aharon Hall, at the home of R’ Moshe Rubashkin.
The event, generously hosted by the Rubashkin and Kirschenbaum families, is open to all at no charge.
The festivities will begin with a Megillah reading at 11:30 AM on Friday, followed immediately by the Seudah at noon. A delicious, full meal with family seating, in the spirit of the words of the Megilah “these days are recalled and observed in every generation mishpacha u’mishpacha – every family.”
A special puppet show will take place from 1:30 – 3:00 PM, and all children are welcome to join.
With Purim on Friday, we recall the Rebbe’s words from a letter written for Purim 5741, which was also on a Friday: “…The preparations for Purim, and the experience of Purim itself, in general and in every detail, should permeate every Jew for now and for generations to come, beginning with the basic teaching of Purim: that in any matter relating to the King of the Universe (His Torah and Mitzvos), even while still being “scattered and dispersed among the nations,” Jews—“young and old, children and women”—“will not kneel, nor bow down,” but will always be proud of their Jewishness.”

Really beautiful to have there driving around crown heights. I have 1 question we have so many beautiful Chabad nigunim why do they need to play every other song and at least on this clip barely have Chabad songs? Specifically the Rebbe video playing at the some time, I think I would the appropriate way.
Much hatzlacha
I watched Rabbi Rubashkin personally lead these trucks for hours on Purim! He walked around the whole crown heights guiding the trucks, bringing simcha to the whole crown heights! A real lesson in spreading joy to all!
