Crown Heights is gearing up for the annual Mega Simchas Beis Hashoeva to take place this Chol Hamoed Sukkos, the annual music and dancing celebration in the streets of Crown Heights.
The yearly dancing was instituted by the Rebbe and has been led for decades by Rabbi Yisroel Shemtov, who has once again ensured a nightly celebration over Chol Hamoed, featuring the biggest stars in Jewish music.
Last year, a new and improved set up and locations for men and women was set up, and remains in effect for this year as well.
The new location for women spectators and the bandstand will better accommodate the thousands who attend, in a more safe and organized manner.
As seen on the map below, the women’s section is now located at the intersection of Crown Street and Kingston Avenue, directly across from the new bandstand location, also on Crown Street.
Each night of Simchas Beis Hashoeva, thousands will join in the joyous dancing, with live music and guest singers.
Sunday night, the first night of Chol Hamoed, the celebration will begin at 10 pm and will feature music by Eli Marcus, Chony Zucker, and musicians Mendy Kraus and Yossi Cohen.
The celebration will be live broadcasted exclusively on COLlive.com.
