Live: Jewish Teens Take Over Times Square

Tonight, thousands of Jewish teens from 60 countries will gather in Times Square for a powerful and defiant celebration of Jewish pride, identity and practice. The event, part of the 17th annual CTeen International Shabbaton, marks the largest annual gathering of Jewish teens anywhere in the world, at a time when young Jews are facing rising antisemitism in their schools, on social media, and across society.

The teens will be joined by Jewish influencers, celebrities, and their fellow teen leaders, as they transform the center of New York City into a loud, proud, unmistakable declaration that the Jewish people are alive, strong, and unafraid.

“Standing here, you can feel it — the energy, the strength, and the responsibility,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Chairman of CTeen International. “These teens aren’t waiting for someone else to secure the Jewish future. They’re stepping into it themselves, proudly and confidently, each one ready to inspire hundreds more back home.”

With 821 chapters in 64 countries, CTeen has become the largest movement of Jewish teens in the world — inspired by the Rebbe’s vision that young people have a unique power to lead and shape the future of Jewish life. This weekend gives them the strength and confidence to do exactly that — to return home ready to lead, inspire, and live as proud Jews, no matter the challenges.
