Chana Kesselman lived for seven years and in her short life was able to spread the light and joy of Yiddishkeit to everyone she met. After her passing, her family initiated a campaign to enable young shluchos to empower women and their friends in their communities to light Shabbos candles.
Last year, close to 1000 kits were handed to the young shluchos at the end of the Kinus and this past weekend, by the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos, the second annual campaign was introduced with an incredible incentive system and over 1000 kits were given to be handed out this Friday.
Some Shluchos who have not been Mivtzoim recently used this as an opportunity to start. Countless people were impacted through the power of a seemingly simple kit of Shabbos candles; People began lighting every week and for some it was their first time and only in the zchus of Chana were they motivated to do so.
Join the campaign with women and girls around the world this Friday, Chof Vov Shvat to reach over two thousand additional candles lit in Chana’s memory.
Print out the PDF and add it onto your own neshek kit. After giving out the candles, register at bit.ly/light4chana to enter into a raffle to win one of our amazing prizes. Take part in this unique opportunity to honor Chana’s memory and brighten up this world one candle at a time.
Thank you to our donors for helping make this operation possible: Friday Light, The Printhouse and Shluchim Services.
