U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut addressed the 800 participants of the 2011 National Jewish Retreat, who gathered in his home state for a 5-day learning and inspiration event.
His remarks, delivered via video, reflect his great respect and encouragement for fellow Jews who dedicate their time to learning more about their heritage.
In his remarks, Senator Lieberman touches upon the subject of his new book, “The Gift of Rest: Rediscovering the Beauty of the Sabbath.”
An admirer of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, he quotes the Rebbe’s profound insight into the meaning of the 7th day. Lieberman offers the perspective that the Sabbath can be understood as a gift of time to appreciate that which is perfect in the world.

Even by us it’s pretty much impossible to avoid chillul Shabbos unless we’re constantly learning and reviewing hilchos Shabbos, something I don’t think a goy is doing to do after reading Lieberman’s book.
I think the book is a great kiddush-Hashem.
a goy who keeps shabbos is chayov misa!!!
