Business magnate and philanthropist Lev Leviev recently hosted in his mansion in the affluent Savyon town in Central Israel the Bris Milah ceremony of his newest grandson, Lavie, son of Gavriel (Greg) and Chagit Sofiev.
The Sofievs are board members of the Bukharian Jewish Institutions of Chabad Ohr Avner in Queens, New York. They follow the lead of her father, who is a renowned supporter of Jewish education and the Bukharian Jewish community.
Attending the Bris were Shluchim of the Chabad Ohr Avner Institutions, Rabbi Zalman Zvulonov, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Wolowik, and Rabbi Shmuel Kogan, who flew from New York for the celebration.
Present were also Rabbi Yehuda Blau and Rabbi Shlomo Peles of Ohr Avner Chabad in Israel, and Rabbi Shmuel Bistritzky, Chabad Shliach in Savyon.
Leviev served as Sandak of his grandson and he then blessed and thanked the many guests who came from near and far to celebrate with the family. The Seudas Mitzvah following the Bris quickly became a Farbrengen, culminating with song and dance.

Wonderful simcha BH!
May the whole Family be blessed and continue to be inspired by The Lubavitcher Rebbe and his Shluchim in furthering Jewish Education as Lev has done for decades worldwide.
