The levaya of Rabbi Yoel Kahn, who served at the chief choizer (reviewer and teacher) of the Rebbe’s teachings and the Head Mashpia of the Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch at 770 Eastern Parkway, will be held on Friday.
Rabbi Kahn, who was 91, passed away following a heart attack on Thursday. His passing is being mourned by the Chabad-Lubavitch community worldwide in recognition of his lasting impact on generations of Chassidim.
The levaya will be leaving Shomrei Hadas Chapels – 3803 14th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11218 on Friday 9:45 AM.
The procession will be passing Lubavitch World Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11213 on Friday 10:45 AM.
He will be buried at the Lubavitch section of Old Montefiore Cemetery – 226-20 Francis Lewis Blvd, Cambria Heights, NY 11411.

I am sadly very familiar with your mindset. Although I don’t agree I ultimately respect where your coming from. I agree to disagree.
The pain and suffering is real vibrant and tangible. Where as I grossing oneself in sublime thoughts are as alcohol pushes away the pain. It’s a beautiful theory but only there. Not very practical.

It’s hard to stay b’simcha especially losing R’Yoel during the 9 days. We need moshiach so badly! Let’s honor his memory and the memory of everyone we’ve lost by being b’simcha, being proud to be Yidden and chasidim, loving everyone whether they’re chabad, chassidish, litvish, etc, let’s finish the job together with the Rebbe to end this golus!
