He is survived by his wife Mrs. Yehudis Metzger, children Rabbi Yehoshua Metzger – Midtown NYC, Tova Mayzlesh – Mexico City, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Metzger – Milwaukee, Chana Perman – Toronto, Rabbi Shmuly Metzger – Midtown East NYC, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Judy Sukenik, Queens, and his brother Rabbi Gershon Metzger of Jerusalem.

He was a genius of a man.
A writer, a speaker an editor if I remember correctly, he used to speak to the boys in Ocean Parkway. worked in many of the Crown Heights institutions. Spoke to people gave them therapy gave them somebody that they could speak the heart out to and he would help them find their way
Dont forget this as so many people are chassidim and shuchim because of him
I met him at the permans and he was always a delight to talk to . he will be missed a very special person

He was a professor of limudei kodesh in stern college for women. He was my professor, who in teaching limudei kodesh gave me a love of chassidisher derech. He sent me to speak to the rebbe june 6 1967 at the end of the womens convention when women were able to give letters and could speak to the rebbe. It was also the night the 6 day war started.
