The plea for school security is more urgent than ever. In 2018, we’ve seen too many anti-Semitic incidents and far too many acts of violence.
Let’s make sure our children are safe in the place where they spend most of their waking hours– in school.
Since Teach Coalition was founded in 2013, we’ve successfully advocated for security funding dollars in nonpublic schools. We’ve seen a massive increase in New York State security funding for nonpublic schools. Funding has increased from $572 million between 2008 and 2012 to $1.5 Billion between 2013-2018.
But there is such a long way to go to help nonpublic school students get their fair share of government funding!
Your support will enable us to keep on fighting to get our children the protection they deserve. With sufficient funding, we can continue to advocate for the quality, accessibility, and safety of our nonpublic schools.
So please, help us out.
On Wednesday, December 26th, we’re launching a campaign to raise $250,000!
For just 25 hours, every dollar you donate will be matched. Help us #SecureOurFuture!

if you are planning on fundraising, you need to write what exactly the money will go towards, safety is extremely important and id love to donate, but i want to know that my donation will actually change the security of my childrens school
What exactly are the safety measures this organization is aiming towards?
I’d love to hear besides for gaurds- about each classroom receiving protection! Ideas include: bullet proof doors and a lockdown system per classroom. There’s a private school in 5 towns where they have that all in place already and even have drills just in case and kids know what to do in case of emergency. So important to implement in our schools as well and very costly but def worth it!
