In what has now become a staple in so many people’s lives, MyLife: Chassidus Applied addresses questions that many people are afraid to ask and others are afraid to answer. When asked about the sensitive topics he has been addressing, Rabbi Simon Jacobson commented, “I understand that the stakes are high and great care has to be taken when speaking openly, but the silence and lack of clarity on matters plaguing the community can no longer go unaddressed. The stakes of not providing answers are even higher.”
The on-going series has provoked a significant reaction from the community, with thousands of people viewing each live broadcast and hundreds of questions pouring in week after week. At the root of every question and personal challenge tackled by the series is the overarching question: Does Judaism have the answers to my personal dilemmas?
In inimitable “Jacobson-fashion”, the broadcast answers people’s questions in simple, clear language while being heavily sourced. Each episode is jam-packed with eye-opening advice from the Rebbeim, gleaned from uncovering surprising gems in their letters, sichos and maamorim that address our personal issues with disarming relevance. Simultaneously, Rabbi Jacobson is able to crystallize a concept quickly, succinctly, and poignantly for any level of listener.
All episodes are immediately available for viewing in the MLC’s archive and can be downloaded as MP3s for listening on the go.

While many politicians in this country are involved in corrupt practices–on both sides of the aisle–the evidence of what the president has done (and he’s done many things that ought to get him booted from office, but I’m specifically referring to the current impeachment charges) is overwhelming. I don’t like Pelosi, and I did not vote for Hilary, but I believe it is objectively clear to any honest person that Trump has violated the Constitution, and should be removed from office for that reason. In the future Rabbi Jacobson, it would behoove you not to discuss politics. You say you’re… Read more »
“In the future Rabbi Jacobson, it would behoove you not to discuss politics. You say you’re not picking sides. And then you do. Rather disingenuous if you ask me.”
He didn’t ask you.
Mr all I can say is wow What are you wowing about against a president like Trump who has been more pro Jewish than any other president in American history. I wonder where you were when Hillary erased hundreds of emails and was corrupt as could be. It was Biden who had his son take bribes and it was the DemocRATs who gave 150 billion dollars to Iran looking the other way as they built nukes to kill six million israeli Jews in nine minutes. You are either a troll or a self hating Jew with your comments. A Jew… Read more »
You’ve been drinking the Schiff koolaid my friend. Name one thing he did to violate the constitution, aside from garbage made up by Schiff?
Your comment is exactly what we are all so turned off by. Your disdain and contempt of Trump so blinds your objectivity that anyone who doesn’t feel like you is labeled “political” and “pro-Trump.”
If you would only listen to Rabbi Jacobson’s coherent and balanced approach, without any pre-conceived notions, you would learn much.
Adam schiff spent weeks and months and presented “star witnesses” in front of congress. So far no one has presented any actual evidence of anything. Only third hand reports of what may or may not be illegal.
If you have some actual evidence that led to your conclusion, then you obviously have information that Adam Schiff doesn’t. I’m sure he’d appreciate it if you shared it with him. Until you can provide such proof, it would behoove you not to pass judgment.
When Obama motorcade came thru Crown Heights, this question came up and everyone said “no.” As to halacha in bircas hinenin regarding a king. I thought it was an interesting question, actually.
