We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Aryeh Leib (Leon) Teitzman at the age of 94.
Leon was born in Crown Heights in 1923 and lived a beautiful long life alongside his wife Rose of 69 years. Leon served as a navy seal in World War II and helped liberate Normandy, France on D-Day.
He was honored by the U.S. Navy for his service at his funeral. He has left behind a beautiful family, many of whom are Shluchim of the Rebbe and Mechanchim.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rose Teitzman and his children Brian Teitzman of Fairfield, Iowa, Shandel Blasberg of Crown Heights and Sara Leah Silverman of Jerusalem, Israel.

I knew Mr Teitzman for over 30 years. A consummate mentsch, refined, gentle, concerned for others. A model family man, someone we could all learn from.
