The Lubavitch Educational Center of Miami will close starting Sunday due to the spread of Coronavirus.
“After further consultation with Rabanim and medical professionals, LEC was advised to close its regular school session starting from this Sunday, 19 Adar – March 15 until further notice,” School Dean Rabbi Benjy Korf wrote in a letter to parents.
“This decision is primarily to limit the spread of the virus and thus saving lives,” he said.
The closure applies to all divisions of the educational center, including Preschool, Elementary Girls and Boys Schools, Beis Chana High School, Klurman Mesivta and Miami Yeshiva Gedola.
“Please take all precautions advised by the medical professionals and limit your own and your children’s attendance in large settings, to help eradicate the virus,” he wrote.
“LEC will communicate with our staff in regards to training for a virtual learning experience for our students. We anticipate for it to be ready for roll out to our student body on this coming Tuesday. Please look out for further updates.”
