I am so sorry for your great loss. I knew Eloise a”h through Gale and through my cousin Gail. She was a beautiful person on the outside and also on the inside. I saw her last at a chassanah in NY and at The Nautilus Hotel, where we were each visiting our mothers. It was always a pleasure to see her because she was so warm and friendly and made it her business to say the nicest things to make a person feel good. There are not too many people like her, and I will remember her fondly. May you… Read more »

Very sad to hear of Eloise’s passing. I worked with Eloise, her family and clients for many years as she was a talented designer. I work with many designers, architects, contractors etc… but NONE are as nice, friendly, warm and compassionate as Eloise. We developed a special working friendship over the years that was unlike any other and she will be sadly missed. May peace be with Art and their wonderful children and grandchildren.

I had the pleasure and privilege to meet eloise lubin for the first time Chabad House Grand Rapids for a fri night meal many many years ago .At that shabbos meal discussion led into helping the shulcha think about redesigning her what small kitchen within the parameter of their meager budget to have a milk and meat side. Boy what a fun time we had and so many creative ideas came from Eloise that fri nte as her fortai was interior design which in later years lead to helping with the mivkah renovation. And that was the beginning of my… Read more »

I always admired Mrs Lubin for the regal and dignified way she carried herself like a queen. She always looked beautiful and tznius, in the most classy way. We can all learn from her. Her children are an absolute credit to her, beautiful , Chasidish, aidel, smart and classy, may they be comforted in this difficult time

Wishing comfort to the beautiful family of a very dear and accomplished woman. Our years as young girls at the Yeshivah of Flatbush were very special. Known for her great beauty and now a life sharing her kind way and gentleness .she will always be remembered with love and dignity.

I hadn’t seen or heard of Eloise Laks Lubin for many years. But we were high-school classmates, and I was very saddened by her passing, especially in such a sad week overall. My family and I wish her husband and children nechama. It was wonderful to read of the amazing and admirable woman she had become. Yehi zichrona baruch.

Devoted and kind woman, but one with very much her own independent, powerful voice – even at the end. As her attending physician in her final days, my major recollection of Mrs Lubin was her vociferous wish to slow down and do things “one at a time” in a slow and steady fashion – on her terms, albeit terms compatible with her steadfast religious beliefs and admirably devout way of life. When we started to implement this, she was overcome with such a calm and peaceful glow. I do not know much about Jewish customs or beliefs, but I feel… Read more »

Really Shocked to hear this….
Remember very well the Lubins, one of the finest families in Chicago, devoted to everyone as true shluchim of the Rebbe, a perfect Chinuch “al Taharas haKodesh” that made their children become real Mentsh. Someone is behind all of this, Mrs. Lubin, OBM whith the greatest character and stature of a a true Eshes Chail. May she be a “gute beter” for all Klal Yisroel!

BD”E. Leba Chana was such a special person. Together with her husband Avrohom they helped establish the Lubavitch Community here in Chicago and were an inspiration to young and old. Leba Chana was a true example of an Eishes Chesed, performing acts of goodness and kindness in her unique and quiet way.
We cherished their friendship throughout the decades and always looked up to them. B”H we both had the Zechus to teach their wonderful children. Wishing the Lubin family an abundance of Simchos and Brochos. Moshiah Now!

A great loss to the family, Chabad community of Chicago and Klal Yisroel. She was a women of great stature and character. Together with her husband Dr. Art Lubin (may he be well and healthy) raised one of the finest families in Chicago. All her sons and daughters are truly wonderful people, raising today their own beautiful families for generations to come. Our hearts and souls, are pained for the anguish and pain of all the Lubin mishpochas. May she be a “gutteh beter” for her husband, children and grandchildren. I live in Chicago for more than a decade. I barely know Mrs Lubin, but I do know that the Nshei Chabad of Chicago were desperate to keep Mrs Lubin down here with us. Women from the community completed sefer tehillim around the clock, beginning Friday afternoon, up until (and probably even after) her passing. Mrs. Lubin had the zchus of bringing achdus to our community even in the final moments of her life.

May her family be comforted. Yehi zichra boruch.

BDE. One of The the first people we got to know upon our arrival in Chicago were the Lubins. They lived on Washtenaw St. just down the road from us. Mrs. Lubin was extraordinary. We were just 3 weeks short of our third child and she was always there for us, helping us in every way possible. All their children were star students at the Cheder. Throughout the years she spent countless hours helping the Cheder. She was great in interior designing and was always there for our teachers as well as the administration. Dr. and Mrs. Lubin were zoche… Read more »
