So often when we review the Parsha, say chitas or Learn a sicha we wonder “but what does it really mean?” “What is its true relevance to my daily life?”
Do you ever wish you could find time to simply sit and learn, yourself or with a chavrusa and walk away with a more meaningful connection to Torah and Mitzvos, with a greater sense of hiskashrus to the Rebbe and an understanding how these connections impact upon your life?
Now, you are being given this opportunity!
A new initiative is being launched by the Tiechtel family in memory of their daughter Alta Mina bas Yissachar Shlomo obm.
At a Farbrengen with friends and family on 26 Teves commemorating her Yahrzeit, Mina’s Learning Circle was introduced.
It will be a friendly comfortable experience, where, on a consistent basis, you will be to learn independently or with a chavrusa, being guided by a facilitator.
(see contact information below. More details will follow)
It was an evening of learning inspiration and song for friends and family.
Rabbi Tiechtel brought to light the meaningful words of chapter 42 in Tehillim ( Mina’s new perek ) and Mrs. Mirriam Swerdlow inspired all participants with her relevant message.
Leora Natochi’s beautiful singing with Hadassa Benshimon on the keyboard, reflected the words of the Alter Rebbe that “music is the pen of the Neshama.”
The evening was dedicated to Mina.
Mina was just a little seven year old child when her Neshama returned to its Maker, yet in her short life, she epitomized joy and love for Torah and Mitzvos.
Her living legacy continues. Her impact is felt until today.
Keren Alta Mina has continuously, for 34 years been true to its goal of bringing “a smile to every child’s face.” Keren Alta Mina provides for a baby’s and toddlers needs through its distribution of carriages, cribs, car seats and additional needs of a child, it has brought happiness to so many children and continues to do so, on a daily basis.
In addition, Keren Alta Mina provides Jewish children books to Dr’s offices and Chabad Houses libraries. Making the new learning initiative a reality, Mina’s living legacy continues.
May this be this last Farbrengen for Mina’s yahrzeit and the next year we will rejoice together with her in Yerushalayim.
