Many stressful moments can be diverted with a long pause, deep breath and re-assessment of the situation. But in moments of chaos, tools for emotional regulation can be hard to access.
This week, Dr. Oshra Cohen will be presenting to mothers on how to find inner strength and regulation even in the difficult moments, as part of the Menachem Education Foundation’s monthly parent webinar series. Parents can tune in live on Wednesday night, 24 Shvat / February 11 at 8:30 PM EST, to learn about what emotional regulation means, what happens when parents lose their calm and three techniques for calm and focus throughout all stages of parenting.
Dr. Cohen is the Director of Cognitive Behavioral Health Psychology, a private practice in Brooklyn and Monsey, member of the guidance department at Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High Schools for Girls, and mental health consultant for Prizmah and MEF. She is also a popular presenter at MEF’s annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad, and many participants have shared how much they appreciate her knowledge, perspective and practical strategies.
This webinar is free of charge for parents of children in MEF Chabad School Membership Schools, and $18 for all other registrants. Parents can look for an email or message from their child’s school for a code to complimentary admission. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link, at mymef.org/parentwebinar.
