The “Adopt a Family” fund, led and supervised by Rabbi Menachem M. Gluckowsky, has made this Mitzvah more accessible than ever. Through donating to CharityForIsrael.com, your Matanos L’evyonim is guaranteed to reach at least two of the neediest families of Anash and Shluchim in Israel – ON PURIM day!
As long as it’s Purim on your clock, Rabbi Gluckowsky takes great care to distribute the funds to the Evyonim while it’s still Purim on theirs. Families outside of Yerushalayim receive funds on the 14th of Adar, and families inside Yerushalayim on the 15th – Shushan Purim. This way, you are guaranteed to fulfill the mitzvah al pi halacha.
Last year, over 5000 households and Shuls entrusted Rabbi Gluckowsky with their Matanos L’evyonim, and nearly 1800 families in over 56 communities across Israel received substantial monetary gifts on Purim Day!
This year, the demand has grown to over 1800 families across Eretz Yisroel are requesting help! The goal is to say YES to every one of them!
