Lahak Publications released a specially tailored volume of Chassidic discourses by the Rebbe in honor of the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus.
The 19th of Kislev, when the founder of Chabad, the Alter Rebbe, became free to renew his teachings, is celebrated around the world with farbrengen gatherings and learning.
Study on this special day will be easier thanks to the new book from the new series “Toras Menachem – Parshiyos U’Moadim” series, which collects Rebbe’s teachings about special dates.
“Sefer Hamaamorim Moadim – Yud Tes Kislev” is an anthology of all the Chasidic discourses related to Yud Tes Kislev delivered by the Rebbe over the years.
The hardcover book is already sold by Kehot Publication Society in Crown Heights and Israel and leading Judaica stores (and online at Kehot.com).
It includes the first maamar the Rebbe said on 19 Kislev in 5712, less than a year after he accepted the leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
“The Rebbe said that all the decrees that were on chassidim are now annulled,” one of the people present, R’ Eliyahu Gross OBM, wrote in a diary.
Another chossid present, R’ Moshe Levertov OBM, noted how Tachnun wasn’t said that day and how the Rebbe instructed the crowd to dance and say L’chaim.
A second new publication from Lahak are new chapters from the upcoming book HaTanya Hashalem, a collection of commentaries on the Alter Rebbe’s foundational text of chassidus.
As reported on COLlive.com, the idea for such a book was conceived by the Rebbe himself and mentioned by the Rebbe in 5714.
The Rebbe asked that the holy text of the Tanya itself should surrounded and accompanied by “references, a short commentary, collection from the writings of the Rebbes on the Tanya etc.”
This new book, coordinated by Lahak’s director Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook, is being reviewed by tens of Mashpiim and scholarly chassidim around the world.
The project is being sponsored by philanthropist George Rohr in memory of his parents Sami and Charlotte Rohr OBM.
