Mr. David Ferszt, real-estate agent and advocate for educational causes, passed away in Los Angeles on Friday from a lengthy illnes. He was 71.
Ferszt, who lived for many years in Jerusalem and was known among the Chabad community there in the Ramot Aleph neighboorhood, is credited with assisting organization and institutions in Israel.
“He always had a smile on his face and was very jolly,” a family member told COLlive. “He helped open a soup kitchen, a school and a pre-school, and kept a yeshiva open.”
A few years ago he moved with his wife Robyn (Tzipora) to California, and frequented the Bais Levi Yitzchak – Los Angeles main Lubavitch shul.
He is survived by, Yibaldu Lechaim Tovim: his wife Robyn, and children Danny, Liza Even-Israel (Israel), Tzvika, Sara Morris and Natan.
The Levaya in Los Angeles will take place at the Ganz Hall (La Brea and Oakwood) Sunday morning at 8:45 am. The burial will take place in Eretz Yisrael.
The family is together at 116 S. Orange Dr. and will be there until their trip to Israel on Sunday morning.

David & Robyn helped make our years in Los Angeles in the ’80’s as enjoyable as they were .David spent his time helping people and making them happy. A true chossid of Chabad. The family should only be blessed with simchos
