Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon Chabad (YOEC) in Los Angeles hosted Tuesday the 6 new Talmidim-Shluchim to Yeshiva Gedola in Melbourne during their layover in California.
During their brief stop, the 6 bochurim were brought to the Yeshiva where a “Bruchim Haboim” welcome gathering was held, complete with dancing, speeches, farbrengens and a meal.
Head Shliach of the West Coast, Rabbi Shlomo Cunin greeted each of them with a hug and gave them his blessings and even some advice for a successful year.
The emcee was Daniel Shochet, one of the Talmidim-Shluchim at Ohr Elchonon.
Mendy Begun, one of the Shluchim to Melbourne, delivered an idea in Nigleh and Chassidus, as he stood near his colleagues Levi Liberow, Hershel Gurary, Mendel Polter, Shmuli Lipsker and Shimon Dubinsky.
“It’s well known that the Rebbe always wanted the Shluchim to Melbourne that if they should stop off in a city they should speak an idea in nigleh and chassidus and give tzedoka,” one of the organizers said.
