On Sunday March 22, 300 close friends and supporters came out to honor Losn Angeles Shliach Rabbi Amitai Yemini on his 60th birthday.
Known amongst the Los Angeles community and beyond for his overflowing kindness and compassion for all, the guests were on hand to celebrate this great milestone and pay tribute to all of his outstanding work and accomplishments.
A video was shown with well wishers from around the world including fellow Shluchim, IDF Soldiers, and family and friends. Mitzvah Pledge cards were given out as well so guests can take on a Mitzvah as a birthday gift for the Rabbi.
“Each house that the Rabbi sees is another opportunity to spread good deeds, a house to put a mezuzah in and make a kosher kitchen,” said one guest. Another remarked, “the Rabbi changed my life and really succeeded in changing the Los Angeles community.”
Danny Gadot, Israel’s Consul for Consular Affairs in Los Angeles, presented an award on behalf the Israeli Consulate in recognition of the Rabbi’s extraordinary work for the Jewish community in Los Angeles and the IDF campaigns throughout the year.
