KT2 – that’s the name of the newest food spot joining the growing kosher food scene in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood.
While the name may not be in Hebrew, it will be as close as you can get to an eatery that can be found in the Israeli outdoor markets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
Its owners are Shimmy and Shoshe Benabou, who run the Koshertown Supermarket on Albany Avenue which has been a destination for takeout meals.
On weekdays, it will serve Israeli-style food such as falafel, sabich, salads, and more, all fresh and free of preservatives.
Beginning on Wednesdays, KT2 will be a “Shuk-style” place, offering all the Shabbos takeout which Koshertown is known for.
KT2 is set to fully open in the next few weeks.
