The 26th edition of Kosherfest, the world’s only trade show for the kosher food industry, opened at the Meadowlands Exposition Center Tuesday.
Hundreds were in attendance at the first of the two day-event, with hundreds of exhibitors, trade buyers, and media at the annual event’s largest show yet.
The 80,000 square foot exhibit hall was filled to capacity with more than 340 companies exhibiting in 400 booths.
The emphasis this year is on the expanding trend of upscale and healthy products, reported Kosher Today magazine.
Most of the winners of the New Product Competition who received their awards at a ceremony at the show’s opening, introduced products that are gluten-free.
In addition to exhibitors from almost half of the states in the nation, there are exhibits from 10 countries and visitors from nearly 20 nations.
