How would you like your children to learn all about kosher in a fun and interactive way, by participating in an exciting honey-bee program, milking a cow, and enjoying an Uncle Moishy concert, for just five dollars?
And that’s just the beginning.
On Sunday, October 6th from 12-5 pm, join the Jewish Children’s Museum, in Brooklyn, as we welcome kosher companies from around the world for a day of tasting, exploring, learning, and a whole lot of fun!
Your children will love the live honey-bee show, as they get a chance to view the bees up-close and dress up in the beekeeper’s suit and gear.
They’ll also relish in the interactive cooking show by The Joy of Kosher Magazine.
“We are excited to welcome everyone,” says Chaim Benjaminson, Marketing Director at the JCM. “The kosher companies have always been strong partners with the JCM. There will be food tasting from over 20 companies. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to connect them directly with their consumers.”
There will be special workshops, including demonstrations on the laws of kosher, the foundations of maintaining a kosher kitchen, what to do when one makes a mistake, and much more.
But that’s not all. There will be an interactive cheese-making show.
Brigitte Mizrahi of Natural Kosher Cheese, the main sponsor of this year’s event, participated in last year’s event too after visiting the museum. “I was sitting on a bench, watching the children “shop’’ in the Kosher Supermarket exhibit, and they all looked so focused. It was precious to look at – all the kids acting like little adults.”
“Kosher Day is a time for fun and food,” Mizrahi continues. “Everybody has a great time, and gets to go home with something. Everyone in our company dedicates themselves and their families to the event. It is great for us, because we get to skip the middleman and hear directly from the consumer about their experiences, our products, and swap recipes. It’s magic.”
All visitors will be entered into a raffle for two tickets to Israel.
Don’t miss this great day out for the whole family. Entrance is $5 a person and includes all of the above – free for children under two. The first 100 attendees will receive a special gift bag filled with all sorts of goodies!
“I can’t wait to see everyone there!” says Mizrahi cheerfully.
