Knesset member Yulia Malinovsky wrote about the visit on social media:
On my way to a series of meetings in the United States with the incoming Trump administration regarding the implementation of the law that I initiated to sever ties with UNRWA, which will take effect at the end of the month.
MK Ohad Tal and I stopped in the United Arab Emirates to meet with Chabad emissaries, led by Rabbi Levi Duchman, the Chief Rabbi of Chabad in Dubai, and Consul Liron Zaslansky.
We spoke with the Chabad emissaries, who are doing holy work in Dubai and worldwide, about recovering from the trauma of the heinous murder of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan z”l, about Jewish community life, and we visited the educational center they operate. My appreciation for their efforts knows no bounds.
We also met with government officials and discussed strengthening the ties between Israel and the UAE.
From here, we continue our public diplomacy campaign in the United States to seek the intervention of incoming President Trump in a prisoner exchange deal that will benefit everyone and to enhance cooperation with the new administration for the benefit of the State of Israel.
