Kinus Torah in Chicago

The annual Kinus Torah in Chicago took place on Monday evening, the 19th of Nissan 5769, at Cong. Bnei Ruven and drew a large crowd of Rabbanim, Shluchim, Baalei Battim & Bochurim who thoroughly enjoyed the Divrei Torah on varied topics.

The program began with Divrei Brocha by the Shliach Roshi of Illinois, Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz who thanked the Bochurim for their outstanding efforts in organizing the annual Tank Parade before Yud Aleph Nissan . He also told a story about Rabbi Avremel Levitansky a’h, shliach in California and one of the founders (as a bochur) of the Chicago Kinus Torah program, that underscored the power of Limud Hatorah.

This next speaker, Rabbi Baruch Hertz, Mora D’asra of Cong. Bnei Ruven, gave a talk on the Halachos of gebroks according to the Alter Rebbe and Chodesh Bizman Hazeh in Chutz L’aretz.

Finally, ten bochurim shared thoughts on Nigleh and Chassidus with all the participants.
