Kinus Torah Held in Manchester

Members of Anash and many prominent local Rabbis attended a Kinus Torah in Manchester, England on Isru Chag Shavuos, arranged by the bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester.

The MC for the event, hatomim Mendel Lazar, introduced Rabbi Berel Korf – mashpia in Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester, who made a Siyum HaRambam.

Rosh Kollel from Belz of Manchester, Rabbi Avrohom Moshe Lampin spoke about the concept of creating a “Dirah B’tachtonim”, followed by Rabbi Daniel Walker who discussed seeming contradictions in Halacha and science, and how we reconcile them.

Rabbi Akiva Cohen, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester, explained the idea of Isru Chag Shavuos and how it differs from other Isru Chag days.

Hatomim Meir Simcha Itzinger spoke about the topic of “Pikuach nefesh doche Shabbos,” in the case of requesting a blessing from a Rebbe or the like.

Hatomim Shloime Cohen was the final speaker, who explained a Sicha of the Rebbe about the haftorah portion we read on Shavuos.

In addition, a Kovetz of Haoros written by the students and prominent Rabbis from Manchester was prepared in honor of Shavuos.
