On Thursday, the third day of Chol Hamoed Pesach, a group of Lubavitchers of different ages gathered at Chabad of Central Switzerland located in Lucerne, a compact city that sits amid mountains on Lake Lucerne.
The occasion was a Kinus Torah, a gathering of sharing teachings of Torah and Chassidus which the Rebbe requested by held at Chabad communities during the holidays.
Hosting it was the local Shliach Rabbi Chaim Drukman. He opened with reviewing a sicha of the Rebbe discussing the need to forge on even when hardships and challenges are obstructing the way forward.
Rabbi Zalman Wishedski, Director of Chabad of Basel, spoke about the emphasis in Tosfos about the measurement needed for drinking the four cups of wine during the Pesach Seder.
Rabbi Yaakov Tzvi Kantor, Director of Chabad Jewish Center Greater Lugano, discusses a section from Gemara Sotah which is traditionally learned during the days of the Omer, between Pesach and Shavuos.
Rabbi Mordechai Gruzman, who is a Shliach in Basel as well, spoke about the difference between cooking on Shabbos unknowingly and intentionally.
His brother, Rabbi Menachem Gruzman, who was visiting him for Pesach, was also honored with speaking, reviewing some of the Rebbe’s general letters (michtav kloli) to the Jewish people before holidays.
