A Kinus Torah was held at 770 Eastern Parkway on Thursday evening, 19 Nissan, marking the first Yartzeit of the chosid and philanthropist R’ Mendel Drizin OBM.
R’ Mendel was the son of the known Mashpia and chossid R’ Avrohom Mayorer OBM. He was from the first activists of the Rebbe’s ufaratzta outreach efforts in Israel, and with his support, many people were introduced to Judaism and Chassidus.
The Kinus Torah was held with the participation of the Crown Heights Beis Din, and speakers included Badatz member Rabbi Yosef Braun and others.
The Kinus Torah followed a memorial farbrengen held in Kfar Chabad, Israel, with the dedication of a beautiful new entrance to the “Maynotecha” Shul and Bais Medrash.
