Joy breaks barriers, so get ready for a breakthrough at the 5784 Kinus Mechanchos Chabad. This annual event, held this year on July 17-18, 2024, in Stamford, CT, USA, is a centerpiece of the Menachem Education Foundation’s efforts to continuously raise educational standards in Jewish schools.
Open to Chabad educators in all subjects, and focusing on the theme of Chinuch with Joy, the conference is designed to be restorative, edifying, and inspirational. With the schedule of over 40 sessions now complete, teachers, principals, administrators, curriculum directors and more will be excited to find that whatever the subject, grade or role in chinuch, there is a track for you at the Kinus Mechanchos Chabad! (Will you be there? The final day for registration is July 4! Click here to register.)
“The Kinus Hamechanchos is a magical place to be,” shares Nami Friedman, principal of Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, PA. “There is an atmosphere of unwavering respect for each Mechaneches, utmost appreciation for her tireless work, and the intellectual pursuit of reaching new heights through excellence in Chinuch!”
Participants are invited to the Ohel at 9 a.m. to deliver the pan klali and begin the kinus by connecting to the Rebbe, our mishaleach. At noon, opening remarks by Rabbi Yossi Marlow will impart chizuk on the topic of “Chinuch with Joy.” Other key presentations around this topic include Chanie Wilshansky, Devorie Kreiman, Fruma Schapiro and more.
Mrs. Aviana Dahan is a teacher in both the Jewish Online School and Beth Rivka High School in Montreal. “I’m excited to attend the Kinus,” she says, “Because it’s an opportunity to gain and grow prior to the upcoming school year as well as a chance to recharge.”
Participants will prepare for new heights in their shlichus of chinuch during the three breakout sessions held each day. Each session time includes options for early childhood, lower elementary, upper elementary, and high school teachers, as well as sessions for those in leadership roles, general studies teachers and even niche roles like administrators or extracurricular.
Highlights include:

Lower Elementary: The Joy of Connection: Learning How To Reach Every Student, by Henny Bartfield, MS.Ed

School administrators, extracurricular directors, and more will have designated spaces to connect to collaborate this year in the all new “Huddles” track!
In addition to effective targeted sessions tailored by the Kinus Mechanchos Committee, the kinus features the Gala Chinuch Banquet, which celebrates the educators who selflessly and tirelessly give of themselves to teach the next generations. Educators can further reinvigorate b’gashmius and b’ruchnius with the Chinuch Resource Fair, catered meals and snacks, ma’amar study, davening breaks, farbrengens, stretch class, and private women’s swim hours.
Rivka Fishman, Special Programming Coordinator and teacher in Torah Day School of Houston, Texas, attends year after year with a group of her teachers. “Every year the Kinus Mechanchos does not disappoint!” she shared. “Mechanchos feel appreciated, pampered and valued. Our school makes sure that any teacher who wants to attend can do so because their experience at the Kinus translates into an even more fantastic classroom experience for their students.”
From the first d’var Torah to the final regretful wave goodbye, the Kinus Mechanchos Chabad 5784 will be filled with inspiration, insight, mentorship, connection, planning for the future, and the company of others who truly understand the joy of chinuch. Hurry to claim your spot at the kinus, either as a daytime attendee or for the full immersive experience. Register by July 4, 2024. Join together for a joyous experience and break through barriers to the greatest fulfillment of your shlichus in education!
