Children in schools around the world were transfixed and inspired by a special rally marking the 160th birthday of the Rebbe Rashab.
The rally, which was a “Chasidishe Farbrengen” led by Tzivos Hashem’s Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, journeyed through the life of the Rebbe Rashab, using a combination of video footage and animation to tell the story of the Rebbe Rashab’s birth, bris, Upshernish and Bar Mitzvah, his life as the Rebbe, and finally his passing.
Young and old, teachers and students, were inspired by the rally which made a virtual visit to the Russian town of Lubavitch, which comes to life with footage of the holy gravesites of the Rebbeim and Rebbetzins.
They also visited the homes of the Rebbeim, the main courtyards, and their homes, and viewed how the Yeshiva Zal HaGadol, where the bochurim of Tomchei Temimim learned, is being rebuilt.
A special virtual visit was made to Rostov, the home of the Rebbe Rashab, as well as his gravesite.
The rally concluded with a special presentation for the 12 Pesukim, starring the students of Tomchei Temimim and featuring the songs of Rabbi Shmarya Katzen OBM.
