As Shluchim around the world prepare for their arrival in New York for the Annual Kinus Hashluchim, their sons are gearing up for a Kinus of their own. The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, which will be held parallel to the adult program, is designed to inspire and entertain the young boys who live on Shlichus year-round.
New for this year, a special Hachana program is being launched to help prepare the Young Shluchim for their arrival.
“The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim is a unique opportunity for the sons of Shluchim to draw the same energy and inspiration as their fathers do from each year’s Kinus,” says Rabbi Gedalia Shemtov, Director of the Shluchim Office which organizes and funds the program.
The main program is for boys grades 3-8 and begins on Friday morning, November 25 / Marcheshvan 24th, and concludes on Sunday evening November 27th / Marcheshvan 26th. It’s 72 hours of fun, with accommodations included.
There is an optional program on Thursday, November 24 / Cheshvan 23 for those Shluchim who arrive early, (sans sleeping accommodations).
Over the course of their Kinus, the young Shluchim will daven and learning together, attend farbrengens, visit the Rebbe’s Ohel, take their own group photo in front of 770, and enjoy spectacular trips in the company of their peers.
Adding to the already successful program of previous years, the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim has also arranged for a pre-Kinus Hachana package. Available for download at youngshluchim.org/Hachana, it will provide fun facts and information related to coming to the Rebbe and the Kinus, along with exclusive prizes and contests. Registered parents will also receive the Hachana package via the email address they used to sign up their children.
“Throughout the Kinus, the children will be in a warm and chassidishe environment, supervised by a staff of dedicated counselors,” said Rabbi Berel Bendet who is directing the program.
“We are pleased to have a great team of Chassidishe and talented head staff to lead a full program of inspiration and fun. In addition, each Division will have security and EMT personnel on location throughout the Kinus,” he added.
The head staff for Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim 5777 are:
Division 1: Mendy Ceitlin, Shaya Itkin, Mendy Heber.
Division 2: Mendel Hertz, Mendel Perlstein, Levi Plotkin.
Division 3: Mendel Treitel, Yisroel Yarmak, Yossi Sirota.
Hebrew Division: Nochum Garlitzky, Shneur Frankel, Berish Lipkin
French Division: Dovid Neparstek, Mendy Ben Shushan, Aharon Lachkar

“Preparations are in full swing as we gear up for a beautiful weekend,” added Assistant Director Moshe Sasonkin. “We are working around the clock to ensure every detail is accounted for.”
Similar to their fathers, the young Kinus will conclude with a Grand Banquet in Crown Heights bringing the entire weekend to a memorable point with singing, dancing and a Roll Call. A special surprise is in store, organizers say.
As in years past, the Shluchim Office will be offering ongoing updates and notifications about the Kinus on social media. Follow @KinusCamp on Twitter.
