Young Shluchim Ready For Their Kinus

In parallel to the International Kinus Hashluchim, a special convention will be taking place for their sons around the theme of their special responsibility and opportunity. A Bar Mitzvah program for 8th graders will be held again. Full Story, Video

In homes all around the world, Young Shluchim are preparing excitedly for this year’s Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim that will be held in Crown Heights, in parallel to the International Kinus Hashluchim.

With just 3 weeks remaining until their arrival in New York, the theme of the children’s convention was announced. It is based on the posuk: “…וְנִפְלִ֨ינוּ֙ אֲנִ֣י וְעַמְּךָ֔ מִכָּ֨ל־הָעָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה” (שמות לג, ט”ז) “…Then I and Your people will be distinguished from every [other] nation on the face of the earth.”

Organizers explained, “Shluchim are distinguished and given a special opportunity to live a life completely dedicated to bringing Yidden closer to Yiddishkeit. This also comes with a corresponding responsibility. A Shliach of the Rebbe has standards that are not the same as everyone else. There are things that might be ok for other people, but a Shliach of the Rebbe will refrain from.”

The team preparing the Grand Banquet is seeking stories of Young Shluchim that are connected to ונפלינו, (i.e. they acted in a way that highlights this special standard of Shluchim, etc.) to be featured in a video presentation. They ask to share those stories to the Shluchim Office at [email protected].

DATES

The program begins on Friday morning, the 24th of Cheshvan / November 22nd, and concludes Sunday evening the 26th of Cheshvan / November 24th.

There is an optional daytime program as well for Thursday, 23 Cheshvan / November 21st for those who come from out of town.
