One week ago, two days before her passing, Tamar Roter sat with her closest friends. While praying and hoping for a miracle, they took it upon themselves to ensure Tamar’s promise to her children that she would continue to look after them, would be fulfilled.
Tamar was the dedicated nurse of Kupat Cholim in Kfar Chabad and who knew every patient by his/her personal name. She generously gave from her time and treated every person as if they were immediate family.
Wearing her white nurses gown, she could be seen running from one end of the Kfar to the other to help patients. To dispense medication, to check up, to take blood work, to give a shot. Tamar made a true Kiddush Hashem in the way she dressed and acted.
Notwithstanding the extremely short notice of her Levaya, a mere 3 hours from when she passed away, hundreds of men and women from the Kfar turned up to pay their last respects.
For Tamar, everyone felt the connection and need to be there. Nothing could have been more important.
The pains and suffering from her sickness destroyed her body, but not her love and dedication to her family.
We all want to do our part and repay all the love and care you gave to us all these years, always going the extra mile and far beyond the call of duty.
We will do everything we possibly can to help you fulfill your promise to your children.
The fund will be managed by seven of her closest friends and in partnership with Colel Chabad. Harabanit Paya Ashkenazi, Fraydee Brod, Risha Vishetstky, Tamar Michaliashvilli, Shoshy Rivkin, Tziporah Shwartz and Miri Schneerson
