A massive Chanukah operation took place during this year of Hakhel in the IDF.
After a month of planning and organizing with the staff for Mivtza Chanukah in the IDF in Central Israel, alongside a mass mobilization of young men and bochurim from Chabad communities in the center of Israel, over 220 bochurim and young men set out on Mivtza Chanukah to bring light and holiday spirit to the tens of thousands of soldiers and police officers in Central Israel.

The military rabbinate thanked Chabad for the amazing operation: “We wanted to thank you for your blessed activity for the soldiers of the IDF. There is no time better than Chanukah to spread light to the army bases, and you did this in an amazing way. You took initiative, drove, and lit Chanukah candles with dedication and effort.
May you, Chabad volunteers in Central Israel, keep on spreading your great light wherever you go.”
Grateful and appreciative,
