That you forgot to mention… FAITH! If you have Faith, ahavas and yiras Hashem these questions and trying to make a goyish music “kosher” would fade away because es past eim nisht. When you constantly live with the Rebbe and face your decisions with “what would the Rebbe say or do about this situation?” Most of your points fade away… But if the new trend is turning into “be your own shliach” holy moly – all of a sudden everyone is their own “Rebbe” on their own and the yetzar hara will be having a heyday as which yetzar hara… Read more »

We can’t even have a proper Hashgacha of Lubavitch meat to trust and now you’re looking into many areas. Maybe get that straight first. First get a hasgacha that’s reliable and trustworthy.

…daas baal habayis. Which is the opposite of daas Torah, as the Rebbe often quoted from the Sma on Shulchan Aruch.

Firstly, I’d like to salute this post writer – to the extent he always posts his email address, welcoming direct response. While I might not agree with or like what he writes, the fact that he presents unapologetically his opinion and is open to response (and presumably further engagement), is refreshing to me. To some points: If someone asked his mashpia and got directive re what’s kosher music for that person, where is there room for external opinion in that?
