On Monday, 15 Cheshvan, the last Kaddish was said for Rabbi Menachem Mendel Feldman, or as he was affectionately known throughout Sydney (and the world) as “Zaide Feldman” of blessed memory.
Feldman was a Shliach of the Previous Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneerson OBM, and later of the present Rebbe with whom there was great love and affection.
The Rebbe entrusted him with many missions, revealed and confidential across the spectrum of Jewish life and leadership, from Rabbinical matters to assisting non Jews wishing to keep the 7 Noahide Laws.
His son, Rabbi Pinchus Feldman, Head Shliach and spiritual dean of the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad Headquarters of NSW, spoke to congregants following the last Kaddish.
He said the concept of Kaddish, which according to Chabad custom is said for eleven months minus a day, accomplishes for the most saintly Jew and even for the simples Jew, not only saving the soul from any retribution G-D forbid, additionally elevating the soul in Gan Eden ever higher and higher.
After a final Kaddish Derabanan, all the men were invited to say blessings over food and make a L’Chaim wishing the soul an “Aliyah” elevation ever higher and praying for the hastening of the redemption.

I am proud to say that I was a Talmid of Rabbi Feldman when he was a Rosh Yeshiva in the Talmudical Academy in Baltimore maryland. He would also like to say s little story or joke. We shall all remember how nice he was
There is no mention of his serving as Rov of the Shearith Israel Congregation in Baltimore?
I once heard someone say that when he was niftar his one of his grandchildren said that all he did was learn and daven, and sometimes sleep.
He was an oived bemesirus nefesh and a real oihev yisroel.
