Over 350 affiliates of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) gathered at Polytechnic University in downtown Brooklyn today for their annual conference.
Members of the adult Jewish learning program meet yearly to discuss the progress over the past year and to outline the goals and plans for the coming year.
At the conference, Rabbi Dubi Rabinowitz of Crown Heights was announced as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer, working with Rabbi Efraim Mintz, the organization’s director.
Rabinowitz spoke to the JLI affiliate rabbis, outlining his goal to increase the number of students from 35,000 to 70,000.
The conference included addresses by Mr. George Rohr, Dr. David Pelcovitz, and Rabbi Simon Jacobson.

Rabbi Mintz,
Thank you for paving the way for Mosdos to hire real management.
Thank you for taking the risk and hiring someone that needs a real salary, yet at the same time is empowered and accountable to succeed.
