My dad, Pvt. Benjamin Gottlieb, was killed in Normandy in
1944. Most important way to honor these war heroes is to
pray for their souls.

When I stood in front of the Rebbe for dollars in my dress uniform after the long fight to change the Jewish Chaplains insignia from Roman Numerals to Aleph Bais , I appeared so the Rebbe could see the change . HE SMILED and no comment . Good enough for me and all the rest of us in uniform . The Rebbe was a great supporter of those who wore the uniform .
