Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie, author of “The Secret of Chabad,” was featured in an hour and a half long interview on the Jewish Broadcast Service.
In the wide-ranging conversation on the show “L’Chayim,” Rabbi Eliezrie was asked about the dynamics of Shlichus and many contemporary controversial issues. Eliezrie is the first Shliach hosted by the show.
Rabbi Eliezrie has been on an international book tour. This coming week, he will be speaking in the UK in connection with Shabbos UK, and the following week in Israel. In December he will visit Canada.
His book “The Secret of Chabad” was a finalist in the National Jewish Book Awards, the first Chabad author ever to be honored.

I agree with you to a point, we need to teach people about HKB”H and His amazing world and to reject the values of the nations of the world, but when we encounter a Jew in manhattan, we just ask them to roll up their sleeve and put on tefillin regardless of what they believe. Weve even had the jolly guy with a white beard and a red suit putting on tefillin… !!
As the Rebbe always says Hma’ase Hu Haikar, its the action that counts
The interviewer was hard hitting, not letting David get away with even one word – he issued very specific questions – which he already knew the answers to (naturally to set him up) and David came back with beautiful and more importantly paciant, compassionate and sensible responses. With honesty and saychal one can go a long way. David, VERY well done.

איזהו חכם המכיר את מקומו you are a true Chabad example שליח של הרבי קידוש שם לויבאוויטש
Whilst we cannot control it, It should bother us that people are attending our chabad house ( sometimes for years) and not taking on any more obsevanvce…..
I’m all for catering the message to fit the audience (B’ofen Hamiskabel). Yet at the same time, when someone asks a question or addresses a specific issue, it must be answered. In this case, the issue of practice vs theology is a critical point where they keep going in circles. THEOLOGY ABSOLUTELY MATTERS! Our Torah is based on it. (Why do Mitzvos if G-d doesn’t care?) And ALL of Chassidus is about G-d. How can one study Chassidus if G-d is not addressed? Not only that, but our entire movement, the Rebbe’s entire revolution is based on this theology. It… Read more »
and that I think, at the least, is good.
Please note that Mr. Golub though very eloquent, knowledgeable and seemingly open-minded isn’t wearing a kippa.
You answered brilliantly. Every Chabad Shliach should watch this and learn.
but why the negativity Rabbi Golub? I actually heard the story of a young girl who came to CTeen and initially made no changes whatsoever, but today is a student of Machon Chana fully observant and is planning on marrying a chabad boy and build a frum family
כל הכבוד, Rabbi Eliezrie & Mark Golub.
This is a must watch, I notice that many Lubavitchers today don’t always remember what it means that we have principles in an unwavering way at the same time we are accepting to all. This point as well as many others profoundly explained in depth. Do yourself a favor and watch this.
