The lighting of the large Menorah near the Eiffel Tower took place as every year, with the participation of about five thousand people.
The annual lighting was established in Paris at the request and encouragement of the Rebbe and was broadcast via satellite around the world.
Today, Head Shliach of Paris Rabbi Mendy Azimov continues the tradition, and the crowd joined via live feed the Menorah in Jerusalem, the Rebbe’s room in New York, and the Israeli city of Netanya.
